Will your favorite theater remain open throughout the renovations? You bet: No closures are expected at any of the Plaza's iconic venues during construction. Design and architecture firm Rios Clementi Hale Studios, the firm behind Grand Park's design, is overseeing the renovation.

Lot 14, the parking garage located under the Plaza, will also stay open throughout the renovation. The Music Center indicated that construction should not impact when you should arrive for an event in the next year and a half, though showing early for any performance is always recommended.

Performances and live shows on the Plaza will continue to give the popular space vivacity and movement, as past events have also done through the decades. The Music Center will raise "...$5 million for free and low-cost programming" for the refreshed space, calling it "...a plaza for Los Angeles," and "(a) warm, welcoming space that offers an invitation to all and a front door, now even wider, to the Music Center."
