Three police departments -- Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena -- are sharing a helicopter patrol in a trial program, according to the Burbank Leader.
The three-way patrol system is operating four days a week.
Burbank and Glendale police have already been sharing a helicopter for two years, and they say it's been a successful partnership.
Now Pasadena is getting in on the action, on a trial basis. The three-way sharing started off as a two-day-a-week program in November and has now been upped to four days a week.
