A Los Angeles Police Department motorcycle officer was injured when he crashed Thursday on the eastbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway in the Mid-City area.
The crash occurred shortly before 9:45 p.m. near Normandie Avenue, according to Erik Scott of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The officer was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Scott said.
All eastbound lanes were closed for the investigation.
Correction: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated the officer was a member of the California Highway Patrol. He is a member of the Los Angeles Police Department.
