Clerk Shot and Killed in Riverside 7-Eleven

A clerk was shot and killed early Friday at a convenience store in Riverside.

No arrests were reported after the shooting at a 7-Eleven int he 6600 block of Indiana Avenue.

A customer reported finding the clerk suffering from gunshot wounds at about 3:30 a.m. The victim died at the scene.

Details about the victim's identity and a shooter description were not immediately available.

The shooting likely occurred during a robbery, police said. Authorities are attempting to determine whether the crime is connected to three other robberies in the area of the 215 and 91 freeway.

Those robberies were reported in the two hours prior to the 7-Eleven shooting.
