Clippers Blood Drive

The drive is on. As a thank you to people who give blood to local blood banks, the Clippers will give donors two free tickets to a designated Clippers game.

Clippers tickets will now set you back a pretty penny, if you can find them.

As an example, for the home opener at Staples on the 30th, we found that tickets can range from $300 to $3,000, a piece.

But it is possible to get some tickets for free, if you donate your blood.

As a perk and incentive for donating blood, The American Red Cross once again is offering vouchers for Clippers tickets.

"We are so lucky to partnerships like the one with the Clippers," says Nick Samaniego, of the American Red Cross.

According to the Red Cross Website, a blood donor will receive two free tickets to a designated Clippers game and a chance to be honored as Blood Donor of the Game with an upgrade to court side seats.

But once you get your voucher, you do run into the same issue as other seekers of Clipper tickets, a shortage of seats early in the delayed season.
