He will be missed.
Craig Sager put the "color" in color commentary as the iconic NBA sideline reporter entertained millions with his interesting and provocative interviews with basketball legends over the years, but he was perhaps most known for his eccentric attire, as you could always spot Sager a mile away because of his flashy and sometimes flamboyant sports coats.
Sager died on Thursday morning after a more than two-year battle with leukemia. Sager underwent multiple bone marrow transplants and was constantly in-and-out of treatment since 2014.
Since the news broke that Sager had passed away at the age of 65, multiple athletes throughout the world of sports have share their stories and send their messages of condolences to Sager's family.
Los Angeles Clippers Head Coach and President of Basketball Operations Doc Rivers released a statement on Thursday on Sager's passing as well as multiple players on the team.
"The NBA lost a giant today, and I've lost a dear friend," Rivers said in the statement. "Craig and I have owned a business together, we worked together at TNT, and he has covered me and the teams I've worked with over the years. What always stood out to me were the traits he possessed that we want all our great players to have. He was the hardest worker and the most unselfish person I know. On behalf of the entire Clipper family, we extend our sincere condolences to his family. Heaven just got brighter."
