A man was killed today in a fiery two-car crash on the 605 Freeway in Santa Fe Springs, authorities said.
The crash was reported at 1:55 a.m. on the northbound San Gabriel River Freeway at Slauson Avenue. A black Chevrolet Camaro and a Toyota Prius were involved in the crash and one or both caught fire.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene.
Witnesses said one of the drivers was weaving across lanes before the crash.
