Crash Kills Woman, Dog on 57 Freeway in Diamond Bar

Authorities closed all lanes on the freeway for hours after the crash.

A woman and a dog died in a crash on the Orange (57) Freeway in Diamond Bar on Sunday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The woman who died was about 60 years old and had not been identified, a California Highway Patrol dispatcher told NBC4.

The crash occurred about 9 p.m. on the southbound 57 just south of the Moreno Valley (60) Freeway, and involved a Toyota Prius and a Cadillac Escalade.

Authorities shut down all southbound lanes of the 57 between the crash and Pathfinder Road after the wreck, and the closures were expected to remain in place until after midnight.
