Sheriff's deputies shot and killed a suspected burglar who allegedly kicked in an elderly couple's front door in Riverside County Saturday night, deputies said.
Riverside County Sheriff's deputies encountered the intruder in the residence, in an unincorporated part of the country near Perris, after which point the intruder was shot, according to a Riverside County Sheriff's spokesman.
The suspected burglar was taken to a local hospital where he died, Vasquez said.
A caller reported that the home in the 25000 block of Highway 74 in Good Hope was being broken into just after 10 p.m., according to Vasquez. They told deputies that an elderly couple lived there.
