Detectives Probe Shooting Death Of 25-Year-Old Woman In Long Beach

The woman died from her wound after being brought to the hospital by a female and male witnesses.

Homicide detectives Sunday are investigating the shooting death of a 25-year-old woman in Long Beach.

Officers were dispatched at 11:50 p.m. Saturday to an area hospital to assist the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department with a woman who suffered a gunshot wound to the upper torso, the Long Beach Police Department reported.

Keshawn Castilow of Anaheim later died from her wound after being brought to the hospital by a female and male witnesses.

The witnesses could not provide any details of where the shooting occurred, and a possible location in the area of Paramount Boulevard and South Street was searched, but no evidence of a shooting was found, police said.
