NBC4 LA'S Doctor Bruce Hensel was honored Friday night at the 6th Annual Gala hosted by the Community Health Alliance of Pasadena, otherwise known as CHAP.
Doctor Hensel was given the Community Health Action Award by the Alliance, for his outstanding achievements, and dedication to health care in Southern California.
Other CHAP honorees for 2011 are, Dr. Astrid Heppenstall Heger, the Honorable Carol Liu, and Ms. Jane Haderlein.
CHAP's goal is to help provide better access to health services, especially during these tough economic times.
"From the very beginning, CHAP has endeavored to promote healthy communities by serving as a catalyst for better access to health services in medically under served areas of the Greater San Gabriel Valley,” said CHAP’s Board Chairman Sidney Tyler, as reported by pasadenanow.com. "We are unwavering in that goal."
