Authorities said a driver was seriously injured when a Metrolink train and car collided in Burbank on Tuesday afternoon.
The crash happened about 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of San Fernando Boulevard and Buena Vista Street (map), the Burbank Police Department said.
Aerial footage showed the mangled car a few feet from the tracks as authorities investigated the circumstances surrounding the collision.
No one else was in the car at the time of the crash, police said.
Police advised motorists to avoid the area.
Metrolink service to the Antelope Valley was disrupted by the crash, the agency said.
