A small white pooch was found abandoned in a dumpster in Montebello Wednesday night, and rescuers were trying to find him a forever home.
Officers responded to the 600 block of Whittier Boulevard after a report of an abandoned dog, Montebello police said.
The dog was discovered in a large dumpster behind an Alondra Hot Wings restaurant.
The dog, aside from a downcast look on his mug, appeared to be in good condition.
Police were trying to find the person responsible for tossing the dog in the dumpster.
The dog was turned over to SEAACA animal care and control.
