SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Barack Obama's message of reaching across the aisle has inspired Elizabeth Taylor, who is Jewish, to donate $100,000 to a Christian organization.
The 77-year-old actress donated the money to the Alliance for Christian Education, which is based in Santa Barbara, Calif.
The Oscar-winning actress has traditionally donated to HIV/AIDS organizations.
Taylor said she made the donation "because our new president challenged us to break down barriers that divide us."
