Elizabeth Taylor Items up for Auction

You Can Own a Piece of Hollywood History. Several Items from Mega-Stars Like Elizabeth Taylor, Richard Burton, Greta Garbo and Many Others are on the Auction Block

Personal items once belonging to Elizabeth Taylor are slated to go up on the auction block, as well as memorabilia from several other major Hollywood stars.

Among the items up for sale are several personal notes and letters from Taylor, along with photographs, as well as notes from Richard Burton about Taylor.

Also included in the auction is an eight-page autographed letter from Marilyn Monroe signed Norma Jeane Dougherty, describing the personal details of her wedding at age 16 to Jim Dougherty.

Other items are personal letters from Greta Garbo to George Cukor, and a signed copy of her first contract with MGM.

There's a 1948 sketch by Alfred Hitchcock (the iconic line drawing of his profile) signed "Hitch," which is inscribed to actor John Dall, star of the thriller Rope (1948).

More items pertaining to Marlon Brando, Charlie Chaplin, Ian Fleming, Ava Gardner, Audrey Hepburn, Vivien Leigh and Rudolph Valentino, will also be for sale.

The items came from the estate of well-known LA collectors Charles Williamson and Tucker Fleming.
