1 Dead, 2 Hurt in Fiery Overnight Freeway Crash

Lanes reopened on the Santa Monica (10) Freeway Monday morning after a fiery overnight crash that left one dead and two others hurt, officials said.

The three-car collision happened before 4 a.m. near La Brea Avenue in Mid-City, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials said flames came from an engine, and at least one car caught fire.

One person died on impact, and two others were injured, CHP officials said.

All lanes reopened by 7 a.m., according to the CHP.
