Man Deputies Said Pointed Gun at Them Fatally Shot

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies shot and killed a man who pointed a weapon at them in Norwalk and arrested a second man who did the same, authorities said.

The initial report came in around 7 p.m. that a shooting occured at Imperial Highway and Pioneer Boulevard.

Deputies stopped two 18-year-old men walking along Imperial Highway.

Officials said the men pulled guns on the deputies.

One man was killed, and the second man was arrested, police said.

No deputies were injured.

Two guns were recovered from the area, officials said.
