Explosions Behind Fire House Wake Up Firefighters

One firefighter was treated for injuries

Firefighters responded after hearing explosions early Wednesday behind their Yorba Linda fire house.

Firefighters said they heard the blasts at about 1:30 a.m. They went outside and saw flames shooting out of a house in the 4700 block of School Street, near Lemon Drive.

The residents escaped before flames engulfed their home.

About 60 firefighters responded to the location. The fire was out in about 40 minutes.

One firefighter was treated for heat-related injuries. No one else was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
