Three people died in a suburban Fountain Valley neighborhood Friday night when a child custody fight turned into a nightmare.
Police said a man confronted his wife and her family in a quiet cul-de-sac near the 9900 block of Dandelion Avenue late Friday and the two fought over their pending divorce and custody of their eight year old child.
The husband shot his wife dead in a driveway and then chased family members into a home. Police said the father shot and killed his eight-year-old daughter and then turned the weapon himself as the dead wife's parents looked on.
The investigation was continuing late Friday night.
