Friends and Family Hold Vigil for Torrance Woman

Mourners held a candlelight vigil Wednesday night in Redondo Beach paying their respects to their friend, 28 year old Cori Daye Desmond.

Her body was found on Monday in the San Bernardino Mountains, far from a Redondo Beach bar where she was last seen on Saturday night.

Dozens of people attended the evening vigil at the Bac Street Lounge on Artesia Blvd. in North Redondo Beach.

A jeep belonging to the Torrance woman was tracked down by police on Tuesday.

Desmond’s body was discovered in a snow bank along state Route 330 in Running Springs.

A San Bernardino County Sheriff’s spokesperson says detectives have been working night and day on this case.   Jodi Miller with the Sheriff’s department says they have received several leads and numerous phone calls in their investigation.

However, no suspects have been able to be identified by investigators who are still sorting through evidence and possible clues to the person or persons involved in this case.
