A pregnant 16-year-old who went missing with her two younger sisters last week has been found “safe and healthy” at a relative’s home, Glendale police announced Tuesday.
Joyce Lubrin, who is 7 ½ months pregnant, did not have money or a cellphone when she disappeared last Friday, police said.
She was found Monday at a family member’s home and has been placed by the Department of Children and Family Services with an aunt, Glendale police said.
Authorities issued a critical missing bulletin Saturday for Lubrin and her sisters – ages 13 and 15.
Lubrin’s family was concerned for her safety because the teen is on medication, and suffers from mental impairments, police said.
Lubrin’s younger sisters – who left their home separately over the course of the day they went missing – were found Saturday at a friend’s home after the friend’s mother recognized the girls from news reports, police said.
The girls were living with their grandmother, and their mother was restricted from seeing them, said Glendale police Sgt. Tom Lorenz, a department spokesman.
