NBC4 Teamed Up With Ralphs and Food 4 Less to Help the Hungry

What to Know

  • A $5 donation will provide 20 meals to an individual and $10 will provide 40 meals to an individual
  • One in eight Californians are struggling with hunger, and one in five are children
  • You can help by shopping at your Ralphs or Food 4 Less supermarket and make a donation

To support families in need of food, NBC4 teamed up with Ralphs and Food 4 Less supermarkets throughout Southern California to help feed the hungry with the “Help 4 the Hungry” donation drive from November 19 to December 24, which raised $400,000, the equivalent of over 1.5 million meals.

Join NBC4 this holiday season to help feed the hungry with our Help 4 the Hungry campaign.

Individuals helped families by shopping at Ralphs or Food 4 Less supermarkets and made a donation of $5 or $10 at check-out. One hundred percent of proceeds will go to Feeding America Riverside & San Bernardino, FOOD Share Ventura, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Second Harvest Orange County.  For more information on participating food banks, visit here.

The LA Regional Food Bank is helping those in need. Kim Baldonado reports for the NBC4 News at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018.
