Two men were arrested when a raid on a Hacienda Heights home exposed a covert drug operation on Wednesday.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said it found a lab that was producing honey oil and more than 100 bottles of butane inside the home. Butane, a combustible substance, is used to make honey oil, also referred to as marijuana oil, which is a highly-concentrated and illegal form of THC.
Residents were shocked to learn the drug operation had existed in their neighborhood and posed a potential danger.
Detectives said their highest concern is the sensitivity of butane and its ability to explode. Hazmat crews were at the scene to assist authorities.
No injuries were reported during the drug raid.
