Hot Dog Chain Celebrates 55 Years of Service

Weinerschnitzel is offering 55-cent hot dogs to celebrate its anniversary

Weinerschnitzel is celebrating its 55th anniversary on Monday.

To celebrate, the fast food chain founded in Southern California is offering 55-cent hot dogs to its customers all day Monday. Patrons can get up to 10 dogs for 55 cents each, and can choose from a selection of three different types: Original Chili, Kraut and Mustard.

With July being National Hot Dog Month, the anniversary could not come at a more perfect time, Wienerschnitzel representative Aileen Donovan said in a news release.

Founded in 1961 in Irvine, Wienerschnitzel has grown to over 320 stores in 11 states, and is hailed as the World's Largest Hot Dog Chain. The fast food company has won Best Fast Food by the Los Angeles Daily News for the past five years and has made it on Franchise Time's "20 to Watch."
