An arrest was announced Wednesday in an attempted kidnapping at a bus stop in the Santa Clarita area.
The subject attempted to abduct a teen girl at the bus stop early Wednesday, a witness told the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The girl and man appeared to be fighting on the sidewalk next to the bus stop, the witness said.
The attacker, a 39-year-old man, released the girl when the witness yelled at the two from a vehicle, according to the sheriff's department's statement. The witness then directed responding deputies to the assailant, who was arrested.
