The venue's exterior tower includes the DreamWorks logo. And the building itself? Look for a handsome Mission revival theme, complete with arches and red tile. The structure pays tribute to "... the Golden Age of Hollywood's Art Deco period of the 1920s."

Don't breeze by the ticket booth on your way inside, though, for a "Shrek" superstar is seated inside, keeping a close eye on those who enter the theater.

A vintage-cool hallway provides the portal to where audience members will pause before entering the theater. Take your time sauntering down the hall, for a host of DreamWorks movie posters are on display.

A charming pre-show, just outside the theater doors, unites Po, Shrek, Donkey, and Princess Poppy, as well as a few other characters. The banter is snappy and the story to come is previewed and clearly presented, building audience anticipation.

Your seat faces a traditional looking screen, but, as with the world that Po and his friends live in, there's a bit of magic and mystery to the show you're about to watch. Which means you may not always be looking straight ahead, as in a classic cinema, to see all of the action.

But Po, Master Shifu, and Mr. Ping aren't going it alone. Our hero is "... enlisting guests to join him on an exciting adventure replete with raging rapids, river prates, awesome magic, and Kung Fu."
