Baby, Toddler Among 3 Killed in Crash on 91 Freeway Near Cerritos

Three people, including an infant and a toddler, were killed early Saturday morning in a crash involving multiple vehicles on the 91 Freeway near Cerritos, authorities said.

The victims were later identified as Lavell Mann, 33, Logan Mann, a 3-year-old girl and Legend Mann, a 9-month-old boy, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

The crash was reported just after 1 a.m. on the westbound 91 Freeway near Pioneer Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A Jeep carrying three occupants collided with a gas tanker and then struck the center medium, and overturned. A black BMW then hit the Jeep, according to the CHP.

All three victims in the Jeep were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the CHP. Officers had initially said the girl killed was 6 years old but later revised her age.

A 6-year-old child and a 34-year-old man in the BMW suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital.

Around 2 a.m., four lanes were shut down. All lanes were reopened just before 6 a.m., according to the CHP.
