Passenger drop-off lanes in front of Terminals 5 and 6 at Los Angeles International Airport will be closed for about two months starting Sunday, while a ride-hailing service pickup stop will be closed for two nights starting Monday.
The closures will accommodate demolition of the Upper/Departures Level canopy between Terminals 5 and 6, according to Los Angeles World Airports.
Drop-off lane closures in the terminal areas will start Sunday and end Nov. 14. Passenger drop-off areas will remain open east and west of the construction site.
Between 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., pedestrians will be able to use an outdoor walkway during the work, but they will be detoured inside the terminal building between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Ride App Pickup Stop "E'' will be closed at 11 p.m. Monday and Tuesday nights, reopening at 5 a.m. the following morning each day. Passengers will be redirected overnight to the nearby stops "D'' and "F.''
