Lindsay Lohan Charged in June PCH Crash

Police determined that the 26-year-old Lohan, arrested overnight in an unrelated case in Manhattan, was driving the black Porsche 911

Just hours after actress Lindsay Lohan was arrested at a Manhattan nightclub for allegedly assaulting another patron, Santa Monica police confirmed that the 26-year-old will be charged in connection with a June crash on the Pacific Coast Highway.

Lohan's black Porsche 911 was involved in a crash with dump truck on June 8 in the 1100 block of Pacific Coast Highway. Lohan was in the vehicle with one other person, and circumstances surrounding the crash have been under investigation -- including who was driving the Porsche at the time of the crash.

"During the subsequent investigation, information was developed that Lohan was the driver of the Porsche when the accident occurred," police said in a news release.

Lohan was charged with willfully resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer in the course of their duties; providing false information to a peace officer; and reckless driving, according to police.

A court date has not been scheduled.

The overnight arrest in New York and Thursday's expected charges mark another in a series of encounters with the law  -- on both coasts -- for the troubled "Mean Girls" star. In September, she was involved in a New York Police Department investigation after alleging a man assaulted her in a New York hotel.

Charges against the man were later dropped.

Later that month, she was accused of bumping into a man with her vehicle outside another Manhattan nightclub. Prosecutors declined to file charges.

Lohan remains on informal probation for taking a necklace from a Venice jewelry store without permission last year. After complying with terms of her parole, a judge determined earlier this year she does have to check in with a judge or probation officer but could face a jail term if arrested again.

In her most recent film, "Liz & Dick," she portrays screen icon Elizabeth Taylor. The movie premiered on Lifetime on Sunday.
