Little Change to Southern California Gas Prices

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped two-tenths of a cent Monday to $3.571, one day after a 24-day streak of increases ended with an increase of one-tenth of a cent.

The average price is at its lowest amount since March 25 and 2 cents less than one week ago, 13 cents lower than one month ago and 5.5 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

As the average gas prices continue to climb some motorists have been searching to get more bang for their buck. Gordon Tokumatsu reports for the NBC4 News on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.

The Orange County average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $3.545, one day after a run of 25 decreases in 26 days ended when it was unchanged. It is at its lowest amount since March 26 and 2.2 cents less than one week ago, 13 cents lower than one month ago and 2.3 cents below what it was one year ago.
