A preliminary 3.8-magnitude earthquake shook north of Lancaster Saturday just after midnight, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake hit in the city of Johannesburg, north of Barstow.
Eighteen people reported feeling the jolt in Lancaster, Glendale and more SoCal cities.
The temblor was upgraded from a 3.6 to a magnitude-3.8 earthquake after initial reports.
