Authorities have arrested a man wanted in connection with last year's shooting at a North Hollywood synagogue that injured two men arriving for a morning service.
Christopher Littlejohn, 37, was arrested Thursday by a Beverly Hills Police Department SWAT team on suspicion of assault in an incident unrelated to the synagogue attack, Beverly Hills police spokesman Shan David said.
Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department had for months been seeking Littlejohn in connection to the Oct. 29 shooting at the Adat Yeshurun Valley Sephardic Synagogue, LAPD spokesman Richard French said. Two men were shot in the legs in the underground parking garage.
Police have said the attack was likely some sort of a warning and were investigating to see if it was tied to Israeli organized crime. A call to officials with knowledge of the case was not immediately returned.
Beverly Hills spokesman David said Littlejohn was wanted on suspicion of pulling a gun on a resident July 23. There were no injuries.
Littlejohn was being held in Beverly Hills in lieu of $2 million bail.
