A man was found apparently bludgeoned to death in his own bedroom in Altadena Monday.
The 62-year-old was found lying on the floor in a residence on the 2100 block of North El Sereno Avenue at around 2:15 p.m, a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman said.
Officials said he appeared to have suffered blunt force trauma to his head and body, and when paramedics arrived it was found the man had died at the scene.
The victim is said to rent rooms at the property along with several other people.
Detectives are still trying to locate the murderer and the weapon used in the attack.
