A man died after he was found with multiple stab wounds early Wednesday morning in Highland Park, police said.
The stabbing was reported around 2:25 a.m. near N. Avenue 59 and Figueroa Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers arrived and found the victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The man was transported to a hospital but died en route, according to the LAPD.

Witnesses reported seeing a vehicle leaving the area where the stabbing occurred. An LAPD helicopter pursued and police stopped the vehicle, according to the LAPD.
Two women were detained for questioning. It was unknown if the women were involved in the stabbing.
