Man Found Dead in Burned Out Car in East Los Angeles

Once the fire was out, the body of a man was discovered inside the vehicle and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The body of a man was found inside a burning car in East Los Angeles and authorities searched Thursday for clues about his death.

A passerby reported a burning white sedan about 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of North Bonnie Beach Place and California Highway Patrol officers and Los Angeles County firefighters responded and extinguished the fire, according to Deputy Marvin Crowder of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Once the fire was out, the body of a man was discovered inside the vehicle and he was pronounced dead at the scene, Crowder said.

Deputies arrived at the location about 8 p.m. and took over the investigation, Crowder said.
