Man Found Shot Dead in Compton

A man was found shot dead Sunday in Compton, authorities said.

The shooting occurred at about 7:45 a.m. in the 3100 block of East Via Mondo, said Deputy Eva Jimenez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. No additional information was immediately available.
