A 31-year-old Lawndale man shot in Hawthorne died Saturday from his wounds, authorities said.
Tyrone Tucker was found wounded about 7:30 p.m. Friday on the north sidewalk near 4009 West 130th Street, Hawthorne police said.
Officers began to render medical aid to Tucker and he was taken to Harbor General Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2:39 a.m., police said.
Relatives told reporters Tucker was 32 years old, had a wife and 4-year-old daughter and was hanging out with friends after getting off work when the drive-by shooting occurred. They said he was going to school to become a plumber.
