Suspect Upset about Girlfriend's Relationship With Man Allegedly Shoots, Kills Man

The suspect was allegedly upset about the relationship between his girlfriend and the male victim.

A 31-year-old man was arrested Saturday for allegedly shooting and killing a man in Ontario because the suspect was upset about the victim's relationship with the suspect's girlfriend, according to Ontario police.

Maximino Marcos, 31, of Ontario, allegedly shot a 24-year-old man from El Monte multiple times at the Red Carpet Motel in the 1100 block of North Baker Avenue at approximately 11:46 a.m., according to the Ontario Police Department.

OPD said Marcos fled the scene prior to police arriving.

Marcos was arrested at approximately 3:30 p.m. in the city of Montclair, and a firearm believed to have been used in the murder was located, according to OPD. Marcos was booked at the West Valley Detention Center on charges of murder, according to OPD.
