A man was wounded Tuesday afternoon in a shooting at or near a dental office in Carson, and as many as five perople were seen fleeing the location.
Deputies and firefighters were called about 3:30 p.m. to a report of a gunshot wound victim in the 23500 block of South Avalon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The wounded man was taken to a hospital, a county fire department dispatcher said.
The sheriff's department later tweeted that the victim was in stable condition.
Four to five men were seen fleeing the location in an unknown direction, according to the sheriff's department, which reported that the shooting took place at a business it did not identify.
