Missing Bikers Rescued by Helicopter Near Altadena

Two bikers missing overnight in Angeles National Forest near Altadena were found and rescued Monday morning, authorities said.

The bikers were reported missing at 6 p.m. Sunday, Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies said. Deputies confirmed they were found, but didn't have information about the state of the hikers.

An LA County Fire helicopter was sent to the area to assist in the search and rescue, a fire spokesman said.

The bikers went out on the trail at 2 p.m. Sunday, deputies said.

A frost advisory was issued for LA County mountains overnight, but the two bikers seemed in good spirits in footage shot by NewsChopper4 -- one grabbed the hat off the other's head as they waited to be airlifted out of the forest.
