An 11-year-old boy who has autism reported missing from his Costa Mesa home Monday was found in good condition later in the afternoon, police said.
Diego Garcia's parents called police about 6:45 a.m. when they noticed he was missing from their apartment at 1250 Adams Ave. Because the boy's communications skills are "limited," his family was very worried, Costa Mesa police said.
Diego had no history of running away prior to his disappearance.
He was found in good condition in Santa Ana, Santa Ana police said, but details of how he was located were not released.
