A San Bernardino elementary school was locked down for a short time Thursday afternoon after a shooting was reported near campus, officials said.
Monterey Elementary School was placed on lockdown before 3 p.m., school officials confirmed. It was lifted by 3:45 p.m.
Parents were told to pick up the students on the southwest or north side of the school.
