The Murrieta Public Library will give delinquent borrowers a break this month by allowing late fines to be paid with non-
perishable food items for charity.
February is "Love Your Library Month," and part of the celebration entails stressing the library's role within the community.
For each food item brought in, $1 in fines will be waived, for a maximum of $10, according to Elise Malkowski, supervising librarian.
