Leno Pokes Fun at Obama's Voter Appeal

“One thing about President Obama, he knows how to use pop culture to his advantage"

On Tuesday's edition of "The Tonight Show," Jay Leno acknowledged President Barack Obama's knack for incorporating pop culture into his presidential campaign.

"One thing about President Obama, he knows how to use pop culture to his advantage, you know, while he's campaigning," the late night host said during his opening mononologue.

Speaking about Obama's push to appeal to women voters, Leno illustrated the president's female voter appeal with a reference to the recent box office hit "Magic Mike."

"You know Obama is trying to appeal to women voters, and now he's using some of that 'Magic Mike' charisma," Leno said before showing a clip of Obama "speaking" before a group of women.

In May, Obama gave a commencement address to nearly 600 female graduates at Barnard College.

The clip, which starts off with a dimly lit stage with Obama's motto in the background, cuts to an audience of screaming females, followed by the appearance of Obama, or rather Obama's face superimposed on someone else's body, on stage.

Undulating to Ginuwine's "Pony," "Obama" showed off some smooth moves that would give "Magic Mike's" own Channing Tatum a run for his money.
