Car Crashes Into House, Driver Arrested

The crash ocurred early Monday morning

A motorist was practically under "house arrest" early Monday morning after driving his car into a fence and two parked cars, and right up to an occupied house in unincorporated Los Angeles County, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

There were five people in the house at 5884 Hooper Ave. when the car crashed at about 2:55 a.m., Officer Patrick Kimball said. None were injured.

The driver was trapped inside the vehicle but also was not injured, Kimball said. The driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.

A videographer at the scene reported the motorist also crushed two children's bicycles.

L.A. County firefighters were called to the scene to free the driver from his vehicle while the CHP investigated the crash, Kimball said.
