Orange County “Most Wanted” Fugitive Caught

It was a crime that shocked the community.

A man accused of killing his Los Alamitos grandmother, then setting her body and house on fire to cover up the crime. What's worse, police say, he did it in front of two young kids -- but they were able to escape the flames.

On Wednesday, the U.S. Marshals announced they have captured 25-year-old Joseph Ettima. He was arrested in Mexico City and deported to Los Angeles late Tuesday night.

Ettima was on the agency's 15 Most Wanted fugitives list.

"We thank our partners in Mexico for their continued assistance in pursuing and apprehending the violent fugitives that cross into their borders," said U.S. Marshals Director John Clark in a news release.

Emma Hardwick-Street, 69, was killed in January. No motive has been given for the crime.

Ettima has an extensive criminal history including robbery, weapons charges and battery.
