A crash Tuesday afternoon on rural Trabuco Canyon Road has left two teenagers dead.
The 18-year-old driver and his male teenage passenger died when the car they were in crashed into an oak tree on Trabuco Canyon Road at Live Oak Canyon Raod at 1:42 p.m. The accident scene was about a mile north of O'Neill Regional Park.
Authorities say the two were in a late-model Ford Mustang that spun out of control.
A report from the scene said the driver attended Santa Margarita High School and the passenger was a Saddleback High School student.
