An overnight structure fire caused $65,000 in damage at a Van Nuys non-profit social service agency early Tuesday morning.

An overnight structure fire caused $65,000 in damage at a Van Nuys non-profit social service agency early Tuesday morning.

Firefighters arrived at  6425 Tyrone Ave. just before 2 a.m. and battled the blaze for 30 minutes before knocking it down, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fire was confined to the one-story Lutheran Social Services Community Care building, officials said.

The fire started on the roof the building and did not destroy anything inside the building.

The building was filled with food and clothing for people in need. Approximately 100 people rely on the center's services on a daily basis.

There were no reports of injury.

The cause of the fire was an electrical issue.
