Authorities were searching for a driver who critically injured a pedestrian early Tuesday morning in the Westwood area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported around 3 a.m. near the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Veteran Avenue, according to the CHP.
Officers found the victim suffering from critical injuries at the scene. The victim was transported to a hospital, according to the CHP.
Officers described the hit-and-run vehicle as a dark colored sedan last seen traveling eastbound on Ashton Avenue from Veteran Avenue, according to the CHP.
