NBC Universal, Inc.

Three people were taken into custody after a pursuit of a white SUV began in Orange County and ended in San Diego Friday night.

The California Highway Patrol was chasing the vehicle in Orange County, Santa Fe Springs and ended up in Orange County again before being led into San Diego.

The vehicle was blacked out and reaching almost 100 mph on the highway.

The pursuit was first led by the Costa Mesa Police Department, but once the driver reached Santa Fe Springs the California Highway Patrol took over the chase.

The driver of the SUV made his way back to Orange County when at least one passenger in the back seat was seen throwing what appeared to be car parts out of the window.

It was unclear how many occupants were in the vehicle.

CHP units continued chasing the vehicle into the San Juan Capistrano area and eventually caught the driver and the two passengers in San Diego.
